Good place

Great location overlooking the park. Inside is tired and underwhelming. Table water served room-temperature in plastic capped bottle with chipped glasses shows a lack of concern for customer experience. Food was decent for the price. 2 stars.

On a very hot and humid day last week, myself, hubby and Sis bravely headed out for lunch. New Farm Park is a green oasis, and it was pleasant to sit overlooking it (tho the café doesn’t have/didn’t have on? any air con). We drank ginger ale (her), ginger beer (him) and sparkling wine (me). Service was fine – prompt if not terribly warm. But it was the middle of the lunch service, so they were fairly busy. I chose Caesar salad with chicken, which was tasty and filling; full of green leaves, a poached egg (nicely runny), plenty of shaved parmesan and moist chicken slices. Sis had what she called ‘the best smashed avo on toast ever.’ It came with a poached egg, fetta strewn over it, and a few leaves. Happily the toast was a winner; not too hard or crusty. Hubby went for the Trady Burger – a beef pattie, with bacon, cheese, green leaves and fries. It was great value at $12.00. Sis and I shared potato waffle fries with aioli. They were delicious, and I think I scoffed most of them. I would happily go back just for a bowl of these! Food is tasty and filling, service is efficient, and what you see is what you get - a homely sort of place with food that fills and satisfies. All up, a good-value meal in pleasant surroundings.

Have dined here for lunch only, the tradie burger is a pretty good deal, or the fish n chips (good size fish portions) but add calamari as it completes the dish beautifully. Nice open and airy restaurant with very friendly service staff.

I've been coming here a while it used to be great but recent few weeks/months have been the not consistently good. Ive brought it up before and won't do it again ive given up! I get take aways and most of the time i want everything on the dish ive ordered. Ive gone home too many orders where items are missing. Thats it for me. Not coming here and wasting my money again. I really think super young apprentice chefs are probably not the way to go if they can't remember whats on each dish on the menu or they should be trained more or maybe double check each dish they make via your menu before taking customers their food ordered..

Friendly, dog friendly, yummy food & pleasant service.

Great tasting food & very friendly staff. They even modified our meals from the menu as per our request. Dog-friendly & staff very accepting of small dogs and even have water bowls spread around. Thanks Deepak for being our waiter.

Great staff .. flexible menus

Wonderfully dog friendly. Our waitor, Deepak apologised to us for having to step over our dog who decided between two tables was the perfect place to crash. Food was good and served quickly, we will be coming back.

I mean it is really below average. I am surprised that such a mediocre place has survived for so long. I have been here on many occasions, generally not by choice and have always left underwhelemd. There are so any better locations in New Farm, will not be coming back.

The cafe looks like a canteen. Staff is slow.

Great service and great value for money!

This place is not as good as it was pre covid. Menu is mostly the same but staff aren't that great. Food doesn't seem to be as good either.

Always efficient. Good value. We will miss the old manager who has gone to Toowoomba.

Such a great atmosphere and they ensure food is top quality (as is service) while maintaining all covid rules to ensure staff and guests are safe. Its a wonderful location too due to New Farm Parklands being, literally, right across the road.
